ART INSTALLATION/VEHICLES
If you would like to have your art displayed at Scorched Fur, please contact us for placement. All drawings, paintings and small sculptures will be displayed at Center Camp. If you are an artist that works on commission this is a great way to reach out to members of the Furry Fandom community. If you want to build a three-dimensional art larger than 5 feet to be displayed please contact us for installation guidelines and placement.
If your art installation contains fire elements, you would like for it to be burned on the last day of the festival, and/or contains pyrotechnics, make sure you let us know in advance, this way your art installation will comply with our fire and pyrotechnics policies and procedures.
Art Grant Information
Every year Scorched Fur issues a small number of grants for the purpose of partially funding specific art projects. Learn about the application process if you need financial assistance with your project. Please note that the grant cycle is open between June 1st through August 1st; late submissions are not accepted. Please contact us to apply for an art grant.
If you need help with your project check out Scorched Fur facebook group, where you can connect with the Scorched Fur community and post a listing about what you’re looking for to make your creative dream a reality.
It’s worth noting that most installations contain an interactive element, which allows participants to fully engage with the piece instead of viewing it from a safe distance as we are accustomed to in our museum- and gallery-oriented world. Participants are encouraged to explore and interact with the art, and may well find themselves helping an artist to build a structure, or performing some task to activate an art object. Touching, climbing, entering, spinning, engaging and exploring are encouraged.
